The Z1 KinetiCore Use Your Head edition - together with Plan International

25 Nov 2025

A special edition helmet where each purchase results in €10 to a good cause.

Why Use Your Head?

Use Your Head [1] to think carefully about what you are doing. [2] to have common sense. [ex.] “Come on, use your head! Just wear a helmet when you go out cycling.”

What does this phrase mean to Lazer? It’s a lifelong tagline of the brand. Through the tagline linked to different activations we have been encouraging people to wear a helmet.

Starting in 2025 Lazer takes this further. Use your head now not only means [1] to think carefully about what you are doing but also [2] to think about what we can do to help others. Use Your Head is our commitment to smarter choices. For safer rides, stronger communities, and healthier lives. Through education, empowerment, and active living, we help people of all ages and lifestyles ride with confidence, care, and purpose.

Introducing Z1 KinetiCore Use Your Head edition.

The Z1 KinetiCore has been engineered to be super lightweight, allow excellent ventilation, as well as to provide high levels of safety.

This matte black Z1 KinetiCore features a reflective brain design giving a nod to the use your head tagline. A subtle black pattern, barely visible, lights up once a car or bike light touches it, showing the full brain pattern across the backside of the helmet. The helmet is also available in full white with a white reflective brain design.

Plan International is a global humanitarian and development organization focused on advancing children’s rights and equality for girls. Today, it operates in over 80 countries. The organization works with children, young people, and communities to tackle the root causes of poverty, discrimination, and vulnerability, especially those affecting girls.

Plan International Bike for Future project

The ‘Bike for Future’ project places a distinct emphasis on empowering girls and young women through the sports for change approach. This project sets place in Rwanda where the World Cycling Championships took place in 2025 and focuses on cycling.

The project aims to reach a total of 3,600 girls, and has four pivotal goals:

☑️ Empower girls and young women through focus on the unifying power of sport

☑️ Achieve economic empowerment through skills training and networks

☑️ Challenge gender stereotypes with community support

☑️Secure private sector commitment to engage youth in their respective sectors

Sport can open many doors. With this project, we want to demonstrate structural and positive changes. To give a clear idea of how people’s lives can be changed, we highlight the story of Olivia.

Olivia’s journey began amidst adversity. Orphaned at 14, she found herself shouldering the responsibility of caring for her 4 siblings. Facing further challenges, Olivia became a mother at just 15. The two siblings, however, are having promising lives, being part of the Bike for Future project, that has been instrumental in reigniting their senses of purpose and hope.

“I aspire to become a professional cyclist. Cycling instills in me the belief that I can achieve my future dreams.” - Olivia, 20.
