The Idea

The Wasp Air is a shorter version of the Wasp helmet designed to meet the needs of triathlon, track- and TT riders. Everything about the helmet is shaped around the rider's position and finding the maximum aerodynamic gains while still allowing versatile use. While a longer tail still provides the most aerodynamic performance, it is also very specific in its application. That is why Lazer took the best performing aero helmet (Wasp) and adjusted it into a versatile aero weapon that can be used in multiple situations.

Data

Field tests with different athletes have shown that Wasp Air is on average 13 seconds faster as compared to helmets of well-known competitors for a 40 km time trial contest. Wasp Air is even more than 34 seconds faster as compared to less performing time trial helmet designs. The use of Wasp Air saves you up to 10 Watt when cycling at 45 km per hour.
